	LIGHTENING BROTHER         SOLD This is an image of one of the brothers of the Sun. He is known to strike out at those who are foolish, untrained, or in love.   see close-up view
	OLD WOMAN DRUM                 SOLD This drum did psycho pomp work; its vibration helped direct souls into the 'bowl' of the drum and then out through the bullet hole. The image that appeared afterward for me to paint shows the story: the old woman with her drum and owl feather encircling a spirit as she guides it home.
	HEALING DRUM (Bear Drum) SOLD This skin came to me seemingly damaged beyond repair: the animal had apparently been drug away from its killing ground--the hair was rubbed off and the hide embedded with small pebbles. The skin was green with rot and covered with maggots. Yet I felt compelled to keep working with it: cleaning, trimming, scraping with utmost care. Before I stretched the skin over its hoop I rubbed bear droppings into its membrane for healing, and to ask forgiveness on behalf of my people for this lack of respect. What resulted is one of the finest drum voices I've ever had the joy to offer to spirit.
	WATER SISTER            SOLD This is an image of Fresh Water, the daughter of the Sun and the Moon, reunited with her grandmother, the Ocean.
